Reported risk: On certain buses equipped with an optional air-operated driveline parking brake, a loss of air pressure will not be indicated to the driver by the illumination of an instrument panel warning lamp. As such, the driver may be unaware of an air leak causing partial parking brake application. Parking brake drag could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install an 85psi pressure switch that will illuminate an instrument panel warning lamp in case of air pressure loss and partial parking brake application.
