Reported risk: On certain trailer-mounted aerial lifting devices (to elevate personnel in order to facilitate working on overhead service lines, for tree trimming, etc.), cracks may form on the extendable boom section, which could increase the risk of failure due to metal fatigue. This could allow the aerial device to move unexpectedly or fall, which could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be supplied with a replacement boom section, as well as installation instructions.
