Reported risk: Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The software within the control module of the halogen headlights can allow the low beam headlights to turn off when the high beam headlights are activated, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. Reduced lighting at the front of the vehicle can affect the driver's vision, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the software of the control module.
