Reported risk: On certain trailers, the reinforcement pivot plate in the gooseneck pivot area may be too short. As a result, over time the gooseneck pivot plate can fatigue and crack. This could lead to the gooseneck separating and causing the trailer deck to drop to the ground, which could result in loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and repair as necessary.
