Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the pinch bolt of the upper steering shaft may not have been tightened to the proper specification. This could lead to a loss of the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and front axle wheels, resulting in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
