Reported risk: The battery PCB board can short circuit and ignite when flooded, posing a fire hazard. As of June 29 th , 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the Unites States, the company has received one report of incident where PCB board in the battery pack shorted and ignited. No injuries were reported.
What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Powercom/Milcom Underwater wireless diver units and contact Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) for a replacement battery.  For more information, consumers can contact OTS by telephone toll-free at 1-800-550-1984 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT Monday through Friday. Consumers may also reach the OTS Sales Department by telephone at (714) 754-7848 Ext. 115 or by email, or the OTS Service Department by telephone at (714) 754-7848 Ext. 141 or by email.Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Ocean Technology Systems.Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.This r
