Reported risk: Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these boas do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law. If exposed to flame such as from candles, matches or lighters, the boa could catch fire and possibly cause burns to consumers. The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the manufacture, importation, advertisement or sale of a textile product that does not meet the requirements set out in the Textile Flammability Regulations and other applicable regulations under the Act. As of October 17, 2017, the company received no reports of consumer incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.
