Reported risk: An improperly crimped connector in the heating element in the back portion of some of the jacket liners is prone to overheating. This can cause damage to the jacket and in some cases, minor burns to the wearer. Gerbing's has received two reports in the United States of the jacket liners overheating, causing minor dime-sized burns to the backs of consumers, resulting in blisters. Health Canada has not received any incident reports related to the use of these jackets.
