Reported risk: Ottawa, August 13, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and My Country Delicatessen Limited are warning the public not to consume the ready-to-eat meat products described below because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes . All ready-to-eat meat products purchased from the deli counter at My Country Delicatessen Limited, 4351 Queen Street, Niagara Falls, ON , on or before August 10, 2011, are affected by this alert. Some deli packages may not bear a label indicating brand or a Best Before date. Consumers who cannot determine the original product identity or Best Before date are advised to check with My Country Delicatessen Limited to determine if the product is affected. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products. The manufacturer and retailer, My Country Delicatessen Limited, Niagara Falls, ON , is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
