Reported risk: Ottawa, February 10, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Les Aliments JR are warning the public not to consume the Food House brand Tahini of Sesame described below, because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella . The following sizes and codes of Food House brand Tahini of Sesame, product of the Syrian Arab Republic, are affected by this alert: This product has been distributed in Quebec. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. The importer, Les Aliments JR , Montreal, QC , is voluntarily recalling the affected product(s) from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
