Reported risk: Dear Health Professional(s), Health Canada has issued a conditional marketing authorization under the Notice of Compliance with conditions (NOC/c) policy for Viread ® (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate), a new nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NtRTI) to reflect the promising nature of the clinical data from studies of Viread and the need for confirmatory studies to verify the clinical benefit seen to date.
