Reported risk: Testing by Health Canada of the Satin Silver MPL ® has revealed that some of the lighters have unsafe burning characteristics. For example, in some instances, the flame is too high, the lighter exhibits an abnormal sudden increase in flame height, the lighter continues to burn even after the trigger mechanism has been released. In addition, the lighter can leak fuel. Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lighters.
