Reported risk: The furnaces can overheat causing the heat exchanger to crack, burn-through and in extreme cases cause furnace wrapper burn-through. This can lead to heating and possible burning of the drywall and other combustibles adjacent to the furnace, which poses a risk of significant property damage, personal injury or death.
