Reported risk: The oversized plastic toy nails can pose a choking hazard to young children. Little Tikes has recently identified two additional incidents, which occurred in the United States in 1997 and 2003, of children who choked when the toy nail became lodged in their throat. Both children were treated in a hospital and made a full recovery. Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
